The manufacturing industry is one of the major sectors that underwent massive transformation whenever it was hit by innovation. With disruptive technologies making a debut across many domains, manufacturing is highly benefiting from the changes.

Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)

Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is an amalgamation of various technologies such as machine learning, big data, sensor data, cloud integration, and machine automation. These technologies are employed at factories to minimise downtime and enhance process efficiency.

Nanotechnology

Nanotechnology is defined as the manipulation of matter on atomic, modular, or supramolecular levels. Currently, nanotechnology is being used in space engineering and biotech. In the future, it will accelerate automatically precise manufacturing (APM) and will streamline it.

Advanced robotics

Today, robots are already employed in manufacturing houses to carry out time-consuming and repetitive tasks. But the upcoming trend in robotics will change this upside down by embracing robots that can do intellectual works on a factory base.

Smart factory

The smart factory concept houses a mixture of technologies like artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, and the internet of things. Fully connected, flexible, and hyper-efficient, the new manufacturing model will make use of all the smart factory trends to sophisticate the manufacturing process.

3D manufacturing

Manufacturers have discovered that 3D printing can be used for more than just one-off prototypes. The procedure may also help to simplify the manufacturing supply chain. Goods will be printed on-demand, warehouses will be smaller, and the technology could remove the need for holding stock completely.

Cloud Computing

Industries can use cloud-based applications to streamline major aspects of their operations, boost teamwork, and monitor revenue and operational data in real-time. Manufacturers are also gradually recognizing the importance of incorporating cloud technologies into their goods such as speech commands in automobiles.

Data analytics

Data analytics examines raw information from the manufacturing sector in order to identify problems and make informed business decisions. It can also change its procedures to remove the waste and lower production costs.

Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality

Machine management, product development, staff preparation, and industrial simulation will all benefit from the use of augmented reality and virtual reality. Furthermore, both AR and VR can be very effective in training workers for emergency situations.
